I'm Michael Mazzoli torque specialist
for GEARWRENCH and today we're going
to be talking about our interchangeable head
micrometer torque wrench the interchangeable
head micrometer torque wrench has five
adapter options we have a round ratchet head
a 120XP ratchet head a flare nut adapter a
box end adapter and an open end adapter many
of the features on our interchangeable head torque
wrench come from our core micrometer torque wrench
we feature a full metal body leading into a
robust locking collar as well as our knurled
aluminum handle for grip we now offer
a full offering between quarter inch
and half inch drive our interchangeable head
torque wrench comes with a square head shank which
will allow for use of competitor brand adapters in
addition to the open stock adapters that we have
these micrometer wrenches are available in
four 12-piece kits these kits come in SAE as
well as Metric and have open box adapters with a
ratchet head inside when verifying the accuracy of
an interchangeable head micrometer torque wrench
the first thing we want to do is select our head
in this example, we're going to be using
our 120XP flex head adapter ratchet
the second thing we're going to do is we're going
to verify our torque setting at 50 foot-pounds
using our GEARWRENCH benchtop tester
we're going to verify the accuracy
the first thing to note when
applying torque to a torque
wrench you have to make sure your hand
is directly in the center of the handle
and we'll do it a second time
so we'll notice that our bench
tester tested us at 50.75 pounds
ANSI dictates that every micrometer torque wrench
be at least a plus or minus four percent accuracy
so as you can tell we've beat the
ANSI requirement by two percent
