Introducing the 4-in-1 QuadBox Ratcheting Wrench

The new 4-in-1 QuadBox™ Ratcheting Wrench offers the enhanced productivity and speed that have made GearWrench tools famous combined with an easy-to-carry size. The convenience-driven QuadBox is the hand tool industrys first 5-degree ratcheting wrench with four different sizes on a single wrench, said Svoboda. The set of two QuadBox Ratcheting Wrenches actually replaces up to eight traditional combination wrenches. In addition, tradesmen, repairmen, woodworkers, deck builders and farmers will appreciate how effectively the QuadBox fits into tight spaces, as well as how GearWrenchs famous and proprietary ratcheting technology helps speed productivity. If the fastener is over-torqued to a tight spot, the QuadBox can back out with ease by using a dedicated recessed reversible lever for each size. Highly portable, the QuadBox is easy to carry in a tool box or clipped to a tool belt and also fits conveniently in the kitchen drawer or vehicle glove compartment. Beginning in July, the QuadBox will be available in Sears stores at a suggested retail price of $34.99.

Introducing the Electronic Torque Wrench

In October, GearWrench will introduce the Electronic Torque Wrench as part of its ground-breaking hand tool line extension.  The new product features several innovations that prevent the time-wasting over-torque.  For example, the Electronic Torque Wrench provides the user with +/- 2 percent accuracy clockwise and +/- 3 percent accuracy counterclockwise -- compared to the +/- 4 percent accuracy of mechanical torque wrenches.  Productivity is also increased as a technician can easily convert between three units of measure: ft/lbs, in/lbs and Newton meters.  Unlike other electronic torque wrenches that only beep or vibrate when the target torque is reached, GearWrench’s product provides both audible and visual cues.  Technicians often can’t feel the vibration or hear the beep, so they over-torque before they can react.  The easy-to-read “traffic light” indicator on the GearWrench Electronic Torque Wrench tells the technician how close he is to his target and precisely when it’s reached.  The LCD screen is backlit and the thin-profile, sealed teardrop ratchet head allows for better access, increased strength and improved resistance to dirt infiltration.  The GearWrench Electronic Torque Wrench will be available through mobile tool distributors and select automotive parts stores, including O’Reilly Auto Parts.
